Jess Ross is an influential community leader and a rising force in the Austin music scene.

With a passion for uniting diverse groups and driving meaningful change, she has spearheaded initiatives that have transformed Austin’s digital landscape while simultaneously carving out a name for herself as a dynamic singer in the local live music scene. Whether sitting in with Austin’s top musicians at the city’s most iconic venues or lending her voice to intimate showcases in surrounding areas, Jess is known for her versatility and magnetic stage presence.

A firm believer in the power of collaboration, Jess has worked with an array of partners, including Goodwill of Central Texas, Indeed, PayPal, the City of Austin, Google Fiber, Dell Technologies, SXSW, the Travis County Juvenile Parole Department, the Housing Authority of Austin, the Office of Civil Rights, the Austin Public Library, the Austin Film Society, Austin Public Studios, and countless grassroots organizations. She is the visionary behind Austin Free-Net’s Tech For All Fest—now in its fourth year—along with the Learn & Earn program and a pioneering digital navigator initiative that mobilized community volunteers to bridge the digital divide. Her work has received national recognition, all before the age of 40.

In 2025, Jess is expanding her impact by blending her passion for music with her dedication to community-driven initiatives. She continues to champion local efforts that uplift Austin’s artistic and cultural landscape by leveraging her expertise through consulting and contracted work, helping non-profits and community organizations refine their strategies, streamline operations, and maximize their impact. At the same time, she is stepping further into her own artistry, preparing to record original music in April 2025 and performing regularly throughout the city.
She is also leading Legends Live Here as its Executive Producer and Host. Currently in pre-production, the television series will celebrate Austin’s legendary musicians, including Ernie Durawa, spotlighting the city's rich musical heritage.
